This class will teach you the basics of crochet, from chain stitch and single crochet (all you need to make a scarf!), to magic circle and increasing (which will let you do round things, like hats and amigurumi). For those who have the very basics down, we’ll go a little further, with double, half-double, and treble crochet.

We’ll have crochet hooks and yarn on hand for learning, but if you want to take your project home with you, please bring your own G hook and one ball of worsted weight yarn. (If you need a new skein wound into a ball, we have a ball-winder and swift on hand.) Locally, you can pick these up at Dye Hard Yarn in Oak Park, or Michael’s in Berwyn.
